The Priestess (often referred to as the Witch) to others, is a powerful magical fighter.
She has the ability to control weather related elements and can even fly over water and lava. This gives her an advantage of evading physical attacks more often, as very much like the archer, she will move while attacking. If she finds herself cornered or overpowered with numerous foes, she will cast the Wind spell, blowing the whole party away from the fray and thus increasing her chances of survival.
Converting a priestess seems not the best idea as their overuse of the Wind spell makes battles often very annoying. The problem is that they use the Poison Cloud spell even in narrow areas, harming themselves with the gas and then blowing it away with the Wind spell.
They are decent researchers. They can also be put in the workshop but are only very basic manufacturers.
Opposed to the description in the manual they don´t have any problems with vampires, so they can share a lair.
