The Hellhound is a creature type in Dungeon Keeper.

DescriptionEdit

A double headed dog who is great at guarding and pointing out heroes or enemy creatures. These dogs sniff out enemies behind walls and get as close to them as possible. They also cock their legs on dead bodies to aid decomposition.

-- Dungeon Keeper Manual

General Information Edit

The Hellhound is a fierce two-headed dog. They are first encountered as neutrals in Tickle, but become available in Nevergrim. They are excellent scouts with their early use of speed, and can be used as bodyguards to most of your creatures, but their inquisitive nature can sometime lead to them attacking the enemy by themselves, so it is a good idea to pay attention to them. They harbor an animosity for Demon Spawns, and will fight them all the time; the two will not share a Lair.

Whenever a Hellhound walks past a corpse they cock their legs and urinate on them, this aids decomposition and helps keeps your dungeon tidy, while boosting the rate at which Graveyards generate Vampires.
