Horny is a special creature in Dungeon Keeper 2. Summoned via the Horny Talisman or the Summon Horny spell, he is the overall strongest and most powerful creature in the game. He is invincible, but requires a colossal quantity of mana for sustenance. Like the first instalment's incarnation, Horny is extremely pugnacious and sanguinary; when he enters the realm to which he is summoned, it is to do one thing, and one thing only: kill.
Horny is also the character for whom the player works throughout the campaign, collecting Portal Gems for him to use to go through the World Portal to the overworld.
Dungeon Keeper 2[]
In Dungeon Keeper 2, only one Horned Reaper exists. He's a main character and icon of the game. The Horned Reaper, or Horny as he's also called, is on a quest to gain access to the overworld. The Horned Reaper cannot be attracted through a Portal; however, he can be summoned through a spell or talisman.
Horny becomes available to summon when you find a part of the Horny talisman (which you get after beating the level Fear). He is free to summon in that instance, but only lasts a specific limited length of time. Horny will take the quickest route to the enemy, so try to summon him nearby. Once you unlock the power to summon him after beating the level Conversion, there is an immediate cost of 100,000 mana to summon him, and then (after roughly a minute) your mana will haemorrhage (by 2000 per second![1]) to keep him sustained. He disappears if you run out of mana or dismiss him with a slap from the Hand of Evil. You will need a lot of Mana Vaults and/or creatures praying in a Temple to overcome this massive mana cost, though the Mana Boost special is also useful.
As soon as Horny has fully materialised, he charges towards any enemies he finds, to liquidate them. He is so bloodthirsty that if his path to them is blocked, he may turn on your creatures instead! He is virtually unstoppable and cannot be killed, merely held back.
Trivia[]
- Invincible
- Only creature that can kill the Stone Knight
- Massive attack called Armageddon,[Citation needed] doing massive damage to every creature standing nearby, even his own minions.
- If he cannot access any enemies, he will dismiss himself as if he had been slapped
- Horny was interviewed for a teaser trailer for Dungeon Keeper 2
- Many fans, especially in fanfiction, have given Horny a full name: Horniculus D. Reaper. Horniculus is a play on Horned or Horny, and Reaper is his last name. As for the D., nobody is sure, but it's probably short for Death.[Citation needed]
- Horny is developer Sean Cooper's favourite creature.[2]
- Despite Horny being the ultimate, strongest, and all-destroying boss-grade unit, he actually only has the fourth strongest mêlée attack. His superiors in that department are Dark Angels (Zachariah even more so) and King Reginald.

Overview[]
Horny, short for the Horned Reaper, is an Immortal available for hire at the Guard Post.
Functionally, Horny behaves as the Troll Minions do once all the defenses have been destroyed. However, Horny possesses a 360-degree swing and he deals fire damage which is effective against trolls and doors. Coupled with his Rampage ability which grants him bonus damage depending on how much damage you have caused to the dungeon, this could be a very devastating attack in tight quarters, such as tightly packed traps around a Dungeon Heart. Although Horny ignores aerial attackers, his swing will damage them provided he has another target to attack. Horny is partially immune to stun effects by electric attacks (such as bug zapper, Glarggl, or mistress), if he has been stunned, only his movement is paused and takes damage but will still attack if his target is in range.
Horny does not possess enough health to take large amounts of defenses by himself and is more effective when accompanied by Minions.
